Postdoctoral Scientist
Salary: £28,132 – £36,661 pa
Applications are invited to recruit an enthusiastic post-doctoral scientist on a Wellcome Trust funded research programme, investigating ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation in the group of Dr James Nathan. Specifically the project will aim to understand regulation of the ubiquitin proteasome system using biochemical, genetic and cell biology approaches. Candidates must have experience in biochemistry, cell biology and protein expression. Relevant post-doctoral experience is desirable, and a background in mechanisms of protein degradation would be advantageous.
Applicants will be expected to work closely and interactively with colleagues in different disciplines, to have good communications skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Recent publications related to this project include: Nathan et al. (2013) EMBO J: 32, 552-65 and Nathan et al. (2013) Cell: 152, 1184-94.
