The Chemicals Hazards Research Center (CHRC) at the University of Arkansas seeks applications to fill the position of Postdoctoral Fellow in the Ralph E. Martin Department of Chemical Engineering. Responsibilities will include working on and leading several projects for the CHRC involving wind tunnel work with LDV and PIV systems in addition to fast-response concentration measurements for assessment of airborne hazards and development of wind energy. Specific duties may include writing research proposals, documenting research results in the form of technical journal papers, preparing research reports and preparing conference and project view presentations for internal and external audiences. The successful candidate is also expected to coordinate research with other research programs at the University of Arkansas as well as other partners in universities and industry.

PhD in Engineering or related scientific discipline with experience in experimental fluid mechanics is required. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have one to three years of experience in experimental fluid mechanics.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are preferred.  Important qualifications include: a successful publishing record, experience in mentoring graduate and undergraduate researchers, managing research expenditures, and collaborating with faculty on existing research awards.
