Suitably qualified applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral position working with Professor Tom Gillingwater on a European network project (AxonomiX) concerned with understanding RNA processing in axons and synapses during motor neuron disease. A background in motor neuron disease research with expertise in RNA biology and generation of motor neuron cultures is desirable, though not essential, and applicants are expected to have a PhD or MD degree and relevant academic publications, as well as experience of morphological and molecular biology techniques. The fixed-term position is available from 1 March 2014 and is funded for a period of 30 months.
