Andreas Tolias' lab in the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral research position.
The postdoctoral scholar will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team on an NIH-funded project aimed at understanding the molecular code of local circuit connectivity. The postdoctoral scholar will help to develop, validate and implement single-cell gene expression techniques such as RT-PCR and RNASeq and work together with electrophysiologists in the lab to correlate single cell gene expression with connectivity patterns.
The postdoctoral scholar will also have the opportunity to develop his/her own project in related topics including but not limited to neocortical networks and synaptic development.
The postdoctoral scholar will be supervised directly by Dr. Andreas Tolias in the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine and will work closely with Dr. Kimberley Tolias, in the same department.
