The International Fellowship Program on Integrative Kidney Physiology and Pathophysiology co-funded by Marie Curie Actions invites applications for international post-doctoral research fellowships for the IKPP 2 INCOMING scheme.

Program Description

The International Fellowship Program on Integrative Kidney Physiology and Pathophysiology (IKPP 2) offers in this call for applicants three attractive fellowships to highly-qualified researchers in the field of renal physiology and pathophysiology.

In its mission statement, IKPP 2 defines the promotion of individual and talented young scientists as one of its key objectives. The Program supports qualified postdoctoral scientists to conduct independent research at one of the five medical university faculties in Switzerland (Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne and Zürich) for two years. At the same time, they will obtain the opportunity to gain teaching experience and acquire the qualifications for a higher academic career.

Eligibility for the Programme

• Applicants for the IKPP 2 INCOMING fellowship scheme have to be non-Swiss nationals and can be of any other nationality.
• Applicants must at the time of the deadline either be in possession of a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or M.D.) or receive it no more than 2 months after application deadline.
• To promote scientists at the beginning of their career, the doctoral degree must have been awarded no more than four years prior to the application for IKPP 2.
• Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Switzerland for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline
• Applicants should be proficient in spoken and written English

Award amount (Salary level)

The fellowship will provide stipends of between CHF 68’964.- and CHF 95'928.- depending on the experience of the fellow and the host institution selected.
