Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Professor Peter Hore, Dr Stuart Mackenzie and Dr Christianne Timmel on a research project funded by the European Research Council for a period of 24 months.

The project involves the development and application of absorption-based cavity-enhanced spectroscopic techniques to allow magnetic field effects on photo-induced radical pair reactions to be studied at high sensitivity. The post will be based in the Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3QZ.

You should either already have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics or a related subject area, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up the post. You should have expertise in laser spectroscopy or be willing to learn new techniques in cavity-based absorption spectroscopy.
