This full time post will be funded through a BBSRC LINK grant, awarded to Professors Jeremy Derrick and Ian Kimber, and Dr Rebecca Dearman, for a joint collaborative project with Lonza, aimed at investigating the mechanisms of immune responses to aggregates of biopharmaceutical drugs. You will play a leading role in developing this exciting collaboration. The work will encompass a variety of experimental approaches, including in vitro dendritic cell culture, protein biochemistry and in vivo mouse models to study protein immunogenicity. Funding is available for three years. Essential skills are practical experience in Immunology and/or Cell Biology. You will hold a PhD in Immunology or a related discipline, be an effective team worker, a good communicator and, ideally, have a track record of academic publications in a relevant field. The position is an excellent opportunity for suitably qualified applicants who wish to pursue a career in translational research.
