Our laboratory is currently seeking recent Ph.D graduates (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomaterials) for postdoctoral positions in the area of biomineralization. Specifically, these positions will involve DOE funded research in the areas of protein based biomineralization at the basic science level in marine invertebrates (for more information, please visit the following websites):

These positions would be for a 1 – 2 year appointment with an additional year appointment possible dependent upon funding. Salary is based upon experience and job offer will be contingent on the candidate obtaining appropriate visa for US entry and employment.

Candidates should have a background in one or more of the following areas:

Biochemistry/biophysical techniques (SPR, X-Ray, CD, UV-VIS, Fluorescence, MALDI, ESI, DLS), Protein NMR spectroscopy, and Biochemical visualization (SEM, TEM, AFM).

Preference will be given to candidates who have previous research experience in biomineralization.
