瑞典林雪平大学有机电子学博士后职位
A postdoctoral research position is available at the Department of Science and Technology (ITN), Linköping University (Campus Norrköping), Sweden. The postdoctoral fellow will be a member of the Laboratory of Organic Electronics, http://fe.itn.liu.se/orgel. The research staff of the Laboratory currently consists of 17 senior members (professors and postdocs) and 18 Ph.D. students. Research areas include Printed electronics, Organic bioelectronics, Organic solid state devices and Theory and modelling.
Background and duties:
Among all organic materials, conducting polymers, in particular, PEDOT, have become the material of choice for many applications including thermoelectric ones. Despite of the significant experimental activity in the field, many of the aspects of the charge dynamics in these materials remain poorly understood and the interpretation of many experiments remains highly controversial. The aim of the research project will be to develop theoretical description of the electronic properties and morphology of realistic PEDOT thin films by means of atomistic and ab initio simulations. Another focus of the project will be modeling of thermoelectric and transport properties of the structures at hand aiming at the development of a realistic strategy for enhancement of conductivity and Seebeck coefficient in PEDOT thin films. Close collaboration with experimental groups within the Laboratory, as well as with the Computational Physics Group at the Department of Physics (IFM) is expected.
Qualifications:
The applicant must have, or be about to receive a doctoral degree in a subject relevant to the research project (e.g. physics, applied physics, electrical engineering, etc.) and need to be passionate about research. Problem solving ability and creativity is essential. Another prerequisite is knowledge and skills in programming (e.g. C++, fortran, etc.). Experience with the electronic and transport calculation is desirable but not required.
Appointment:
initially for one year with possibility of extension for a second year depending on mutual agreement and funds. Starting date is spring 2014. The fellowships amounts to SEK20000:-/month (tax-free).
Application procedure:
The application should be sent electronically to Prof. Igor Zozouenko (igor.zozoulenko@liu.se) with subject line "postdoc Organic Electronics (Theory and Modelling)". The closing date for application is 31 January 2014.
The application should include a cover letter, a CV (with names of three references), a publication list, and other documents you may wish to refer to. (All abovementioned documents should be preferentially sent as a single pdf-file). In addition, maximum of three selected publications can be enclosed with the application….
