新加坡国立大学石墨烯研究中心博士后职位
Postdoctoral researchers are being recruited in Prof. Eda’s research group at the National University of Singapore. The project will focus on the charge transport properties of two-dimensional crystals. The position is available immediately with a renewable one-year appointment. See our group website (www.physics.nus.edu.sg/~phyeda/) for details of our research activities.
Two-dimensional (2D) crystals of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) and oxides (TMOs) are emerging class of materials with a set of unique physical properties that make them attractive as fundamental building blocks for novel electronic and optoelectronic devices. In this project, we will investigate the charge transport phenomena in 2D TMD crystals such as MoS2 and NbSe2. Specifically, we aim to address carrier scattering mechanisms that limit the mobility in these materials. The project will also focus on optimizing the device structures to achieve high mobility in view of enabling the observation of novel quantum phenomena. The work will mainly involve fabrication of devices and low temperature magneto-transport measurements.
Selected candidate will work in the Graphene Research Centre (www.graphenecenter.org/), which houses state-of-the-art facilities for nano-fabrication, chemical analysis, growth, low-temperature physics, microscopy and spectroscopy. The research project will provide selected candidate with opportunities to work with world-leading scientists in Singapore and abroad. Selected candidate will receive globally competitive benefits (housing, travel, and relocation allowance) and a salary package.
Eligibility
Candidates are expected to have PhD degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines, and have demonstrated good experimental skills, the ability to work independently and conduct high quality research. Candidates should have a proven track record of excellence in experimental research.
How to Apply
Applications should be submitted online at www.graphenecenter.org. Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be notified. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. For details of the project, please contact Prof. Eda at g.eda@nus.edu.sg
