Applications are invited for a post-doctoral researcher to work with Prof. Christopher M. Dobson in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. The group is engaged in research into protein structure and dynamics, with an equal emphasis on methodological aspects and on applications to challenging biological problems
The holder of the post will carry out research to identify the molecular determinants of the toxicity of misfolded protein aggregates following their addition to the extracellular medium and internalisation into the cells using cell biology assays.
Applicants should have (or be about to obtain) a relevant PhD with a background in biophysics, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or related disciplines. The candidates should have a keen interest in applying physical methods to complex biomolecular systems and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
The post will be available from March 2014, or as soon as possible thereafter.
