Job descriptions A postdoc position is available at the University of Copenhagen, in a new research group led by Dr Andres J Lopez-Contreras (Center for Healthy Aging) at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (ICMM). The project and this postdoctoral position will be funded by a Sapere Aude DFF Starting Grant. The duration of the contract is 2 years with a possibility of extension. Our group will study different aspects of Chromosome Instability and DNA Repair in mouse models of ageing and cancer. The project will be focused on the study of the role of genomic instability, mainly replicative stress, in normal and pathological ageing processes, by using genetic mouse models with an altered response to replicative stress.

Qualification requirements The candidate must hold a PhD related to biomedical sciences, and is expected to be highly motivated and to work well with others. Previous experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques is required. Additionally, experience with mice and transgenic mouse models, is a major advantage for the position. The language of the lab will be English. The Department offers comprehensive undergraduate and graduate teaching programs spanning cell biology, genetics and basic human biology, including chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, as well as anatomy.
