丹麦科技大学招聘尾气排放量化方向博士后
A two-year Postdoc position is available in the Residual Resource Engineering Section at DTU Environment for an Experienced Researcher within the topic of Gas Emission Quantification.
The research project considers development and application of methods for quantification of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from waste management technologies such as landfilling, composting, anaerobic digestion, sewage sludge management, etc. The successful candidate will join a strong research group comprising 6 PhD fellows with the opportunity to cooperate with various stakeholders, across sectors, in a stimulating international scientific environment.
Responsibilities and tasks
The successful candidate will maintain and develop our analytical platform for GHG monitoring, and apply the analytical instrument on a variety of diffusive sources with the aim to quantify the GHG and ammonia emissions from these sources.
Research activities will include inter comparison studies between the tracer dispersion method and other methods including surface flux chambers, micrometeorological, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)-mounted monitoring equipment, and modelling approaches.
The candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting measurement campaigns and reporting the data for use in different research projects. The candidate will support and co-supervise PhD students. The candidate will also be responsible for conducting commissioned work on GHG measurements, when requested. The candidate will publish minimum 1-2 ISI papers per year (main power) and co-author 1-2 ISI papers with colleagues per year and will play an active role in obtaining funding for new research projects within the field of GHG emission quantification.
The successful candidate will assist in teaching activities within DTU course 12226 “Air pollution and environmental effects” including coordination, lecturing, teaching, calculatory and practical exercises, and dissemination.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent.
The candidate should have:
- A scientific background in atmospheric physics and meteorology, atmospheric chemistry and air pollution modelling
- Demonstrated laboratory and field experience in air monitoring and analytical chemistry
- A significant record of publications in air pollution monitoring and modelling
- A valid driver’s license and be a skilled driver
- Ability to work at flexible hours during field work activities
- Ability to communicate and collaborate in multi-partners network
