The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in genetic and/or epigenetic cancer epidemiology available immediately in the Section of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Ongoing research projects for this position include investigation of genetic variation in epigenetic regulatory programs with risk and prognosis of human cancers. Applicants with training and experience in analysis of genome-scale datasets are sought; this experience should be described in the cover letter.

Applicants must possess (or be in the process of completing) a PhD, combination PhD/MD, or MD degree in epidemiology or cancer biology with strong quantitative skills. Important qualities include communication and quantitative skills with experience in statistical analysis of large datasets (R is preferred), as well as excellent
English writing skills. A background in cancer biology and experience with genome-wide analysis of genetic and/or epigenetic data sets is desirable. Candidates who also have coursework or cross-training experience in bioinformatics and/or leveraging public data resources (e.g. TCGA, GEO) would be ideal.
