荷兰布鲁塞尔自由大学招聘计算机物理学博士后
The research group SURF carries out a wide range of international and national research in the field of Electrochemical and Surface Engineering. Our key research topics can be mapped into 4 overlapping themes: Corrosion technology, Electrochemical modelling, Electrochemistry and surface processes and Multifunctional surfaces and new materials ( http://surfgroup.be/research-areas ). Within the modelling group about 8 people are performing simulations on the following topics: atmospheric corrosion, corrosion in concrete, nanoparticles electro-deposition, etc. All these models are based on balance equations expressing conservation of mass, energy, momentum in presence of an electrical field. All models are multi-dimensional and multi-physics.
Description
The research group SURF is offering a three-year postdoc position. The research will be focused towards further extension of the developed framework of numerical tools and methods that is the basis for a wide range of electrochemical research topics such as corrosion modeling, battery modeling, reactor modeling, nucleation modeling, etc. ). The numerical tools are based on the finite element method to discretize and solve continuum equations (potential, temperature, species transport). Extensions are: improving algorithms and fitting tools. The position also involves supporting PhD students towards application of the simulation tools.Benefits
- A three-year postdoc position, starting date to be agreed - A challenging, dynamic and stimulating work in an internationally renowned research group. - A multicultural and international work environment. - An international network dealing with state-of-the-art research. - Working in Brussels, the Capital of Europe, one of the most cosmopolitan cities of the world. A vibrant and charming city which combines history, modernity, arts and gastronomy.
