Fixed Term Contract: 15 months from May 2016 (start date may be negotiable, end date will be fixed at 31 July 2017)
The Middle East Centre promotes interdisciplinary research on the societies, economies, polities and international relations of the Middle East and North Africa. The Centre seeks a Research Officer to produce independent research and run research activities on the challenge of climate change in Gulf Cooperation Council states and Yemen.
Candidates should have:
social sciences training, including a relevant PhD;
a strong record of research on climate change and the Middle East;
excellent organisation and communication skills
Candidates are required to submit a copy of their CV, Cover Letter, two examples of written work and a statement outlining the research they would conduct in the role (no more than 1,500 words).
