美国德州大学西南医疗中心招聘心脏病学和再生医学博士后
A fully-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately to study the molecular mechanisms that control regeneration of the mammalian heart in the laboratories of Dr. Hesham Sadek and Dr. Beverly Rothermel in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). The Sadek laboratory was the first to demonstrate the remarkable regenerative capacity of the neonatal heart http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/labs/sadek/ . The Rothermel laboratory’s expertise is in structural and metabolic remodeling of muscle http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/labs/rothermel/ . The project is part of an on-going and productive collaboration.
A strong background in biochemical and molecular techniques is essential. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of cellular signaling, cell cycle control, transcription, and mitochondrial dynamics. A background related to the cardiovascular system is desirable, but not essential. Candidates must have a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a strong publication record.
UTSW is a dynamic and collaborative research environment. The benefits of performing research at UTSW can be found on the UTSW Graduate School website http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/education/graduate-school/index.html .
Interested applicants should send a brief statement of research interests as well as their C.V. and contact information for 3 references to:
