荷兰Leiden大学医学中心2018年招聘博士后研究员职位(实验胚胎学)
The position
The Department of Human Genetics at the LUMC has an NWO-funded postdoctoral position available in the group of Lucia Daxinger to investigate epigenetic regulation in health and disease..
You will be part of an international research group investigating the molecular function of a set of factors involved in DNA methylation and histone modification pathways that have been directly linked to human disease. Using knock down, conventional and CRISPR-based knock in/knock out approaches, we employ unbiased genome-wide methods (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, WGBS, ATAC-seq) to expose transcriptomic and epigenomic dysregulation in a range of mammalian model systems. In complementary mechanistic/biochemistry studies we are characterizing how our factors of interest interact with other members of the epigenetic machinery and contribute to regulate gene expression patterns.
The profile
You are an enthusiastic and driven individual who:
· holds a recent PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology or a related field;
· has a strong background in epigenetics;
· has a demonstrated publication record;
· is experienced with stem cell culture and analysis, interpretation and integration of next generation sequencing data (major plus)
· possesses excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Our offer
Appointment is for 36 hours per week. You will be appointed for one year, with a possible extension for two years. You salary is based on your education and experience and is a maximum of 4,216 gross per month based on fulltime employment (scale 10 of the Collective Labor Agreement UMC).
Working at the LUMC
The Department of Human Genetics is a broadly oriented research department with focus on the (epi)genomic contribution to inherited and acquired diseases. The Department consists of twenty self-contained research groups that perform research in four different themes. This project fits within the theme ‘Molecular Technology and Informatics for Personalised Medicine and Health’. This theme is embedded in the LUMC Medical Research Profile ‘Translational Neurosciences’.
