美国休斯顿贝勒医学院2018年招聘博士后职位(生物信息学方向)
PostDoc Positions in Cancer Epigenetics Lab
Two Postdoctoral Associate positions are available in the lab of Dr. Tao Wu in the Department of Molecular & Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine (https://www.bcm.edu/research/labs/tao-wu). The Wu lab focuses on the epigenetic mechanisms of cancer therapeutic resistance; in particular, the functional mechanisms of novel DNA methylation (6mA). We seek to decipher the epigenetic driver mechanisms underlying cancer treatment resistance, to define new biomarkers, and to develop new approaches to overcome the therapeutic resistance of cancer. We apply multiple wet lab techniques, as well as dry lab genomic profiling and bioinformatics approaches in cancer models.
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Associate whose research will focus on genomics/bioinformatics. This position will require developing bioinformatic scripts and analytical code, doing genomic data analysis of sequencing data sets, and generating statistical figures and biological models. Experience in genomic profiling data analysis, cancer epigenetics, or bioinformatics analysis preferred. Please apply at https://chk.tbe.taleo.net/chk01/ats/careers/requisition.jsp?org=BCM&cws=42&rid=18295
The Wu lab is also searching for a Postdoctoral Associate with a focus on molecular & cell biology. This position requires expertise in the areas of epigenetics and cancer biology. The candidate should be well-versed with the molecular biology work that includes mammalian cell culture, shRNA based knockdowns, CRISPR knockout, phenotypic assessment using functional studies, qRT-PCR, immunoblotting, and high-throughput sequencing. Interested candidates should apply at https://chk.tbe.taleo.net/chk01/ats/careers/requisition.jsp?org=BCM&cws=42&rid=18294
Ideal candidates should be able to creatively conceive the study, critically design experiments and insightfully analyze the data. Applicants should be self-motivated, open-minded, detail-oriented and collaborative. Expertise in one (or more) of the following research areas is required: molecular and cell biology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, and systems biology.
Application process:
All applicants are encouraged to apply at www.bcm.edu/careers. Work visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
In addition to submitting an application, applicants should send a cover letter describing past research experience and potential research projects, a curriculum vitae, and the contact information of three references to Dr. Tao Wu (Tao.Wu@bcm.edu) with the subject line “Postdoc Application _ (Your Name)”.
