伦敦国王学院干细胞与再生医学中心博士后招聘
Postdoctoral Research Associate
King’s Centre for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine/School of Basic and Medical Bioscience
Ref. 008167
The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £37,412 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be a 3 years fixed-term contract.
This is a full-time 100 % full time equivalent.
Located in the Centre for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (CSCRM) at Kings College London, the Sancho Lab focuses in studying the inherent plasticity of seemingly differentiated pancreatic cells and the molecular cues behind cell fate changes. Our previous work uncovered a latent capacity for regeneration in the pancreas, which could be harnessed to replace crucial insulin-producing cells lost to disease (Sancho et al, 2014; Demcollari et al, 2017).
Our main goal in the lab is to decipher the fundamental regulatory networks involved in pancreatic cell fate decisions using adult derived organoids and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and to apply this knowledge to new strategies in regenerative medicine for diabetes.
The post-doctoral researcher will join an enthusiastic, collaborative, hardworking and dynamic team and will work on an MRC funded project aimed to characterise novel regulatory mechanisms identified for the key pro-endocrine transcription factors driving beta-cell differentiation.
The selection process will include a panel interview, and a presentation.
