美国圣母大学2020年招聘博士后职位
Seeking a Ph.D to support research projects at the University of Notre Dame in nanotechnology related to optics, metamaterial fabrication and single molecule spectroscopy. The metamaterial fabrication is accomplished using optical trapping and requires considerable skill with diffractive optics. The single molecule spectroscopy is performed with a scanned probe microscope and/or optical tweezers, in conjunction with nanopores through solid-state membranes, for applications in sequencing DNA, protein and single cell analysis. The successful applicant must have completed a Ph.D. preferably in electrical engineering, physics, biophysics or a closely related discipline, with a proven capacity for world-class research that is reflected in a publication record.
Extensive experience in a subset of the following disciplines is mandatory: free-space laser optics; atomic force/scanning probe microscopy; transmission electron microscopy; micro- and nanofluidics; semiconductor nanofabrication; low-noise, phase-sensitive lock-in measurements; expertise in programming with MATLAB, LABVIEW, C++, Python and Igor.
