We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research assistant who would like to develop their scientific skills in a highly dynamic research environment. You will take an active role in an exciting programme of research on developing better disease models using induced pluripotent stem cell lines from patients with neurological disorders. You must have experience in stem cell culture or primary neuronal cultures and a background in molecular biology or cellular biology are required. You will join the StemBANCC consortium – a 5-year interdisciplinary programme involving academic and industry partners across 11 countries with the objective of developing human induced pluripotent stem cells as a platform for drug discovery

You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification, plus a PhD, and a record of originality and productivity in research.

You will need to be well organised, capable of working in a team as well as independently, and able to present data (both in writing and orally) effectively. There are excellent opportunities for personal and career development within the group and in the Department.

This full time appointment will be based at the West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and is available immediately. The project is funded by IMI StemBANCC (www.stembancc.org) for 2 years in the first instance.
