法国图尔大学植物生化学博士后岗位
A one year Postdoctoral fellowship is available immediately at the Department of Plant Biomolecules and Biotechnology at the University of Tours (France).
Description
The aim of the project is to analyze in detail promiscuous enzymes from the medicinal plant Madagascar periwinkle. Areas of interest are in subcellular localization, gene expression profile and extensive enzymatic studies. This exploration work on enzymes of various metabolic pathways could lead to further elucidate new catalytic steps of the vinca-alkaloid biosynthetic pathway. Furthermore, the understanding of reaction mechanisms opens up promising prospects for the creation of new potentially therapeutic molecules via enzymatic/metabolic engineering. The research will be carried out in close collaboration with the Department of Biological Chemistry of The John Innes Centre (Norwich, UK). Both partners have extensive expertise in the biosynthesis of Madagascar periwinkle vinca-alkaloids. The appointment will be for a period of one-year. To apply for this position the candidate must be less than 35 year old and must have a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related subject with good experience in molecular biology and protein biochemistry. Knowledge in fluorescence imaging would be advantageous. The eligible fellow will be granted social security benefits and will be paid Euro 22 000 (net wage) per annuum. Tours is located in the famous Châteaux de la Loire Valley. The TGV high-speed train puts Tours at only 55 minutes from the centre of Paris, and allows direct connections to all the major airports. Interested candidates should send a cover letter, a CV (including list of publications) and the name and contact details of three referees to Dr Vincent courdavault : vincent.courdavault@univ-tours.f
