The Laboratory for Nutrition and Vision Research of Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University is currently searching for a motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on multiple discipline projects related to nutrition and eye diseases. The project aims to discover novel biomarkers for the development of prediction models for eye-blinding diseases. The project will involve conducting experimental analyses on genetic, expression, and metabolomic data and integration of this data with human dietary data from various datasets. This is an opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding research area that constantly poses new scientific and biomedical problems.
Necessary qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. degree in biomedical science; laboratory experience in molecular biology or biochemistry; the ability to work independently combined with willingness to work in a highly interactive and collegial group; excellent written and oral communication skills; and at least two English publications in SCI journals. Knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical software (SAS or R) is a plus.
