A Research Fellow position is available in Kakajan Komurov's lab in the Divisions of Experimental Hematology, Cancer Biology and Human Genetics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Research Foundation. The Komurov lab focuses on computational systems biology. Our main goal is to understand dynamic organizational principles in intracellular molecular networks and their specific alterations that contribute to disease phenotypes. To this end, we develop advanced computational methodology to build mechanistic network models of diseases using multidimensional genome-wide data. The position entails development and use of novel computational approaches to build mechanistic network models from large genomic datasets. Prior experience in R or Matlab is a must, knowledge of the Java programming language is not required, but is preferred. Candidates with a strong biology background will be given priority.
