丹麦哥本哈根大学生物材料合成博士后岗位
A postdoc position is available within drug delivery and cancer biology in relation to research in new biomaterials for use in cancer radiotherapy. The project is part of a collaboration between the Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen University and Rigshospitalet. The purpose of the project is to develop new nanoparticle based contrast agents as well as drug delivery systems for potentiating radiotherapy.
The position is part of the Center for Nanomedicine and Theranostics and the Colloids and Biological Interface group at the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology
2 PhD positions are also available for the project (PhD scholarship in Biomaterial Synthesis and Engineering with focus on Development of New Drug Delivery Systems and PhD scholarship in Cancer Cell Biology with focus on Development of New Drug Delivery Systems).
Qualifications
The project is focused on cancer radiotherapy and imaging with focus on novel drug delivery systems of chemotherapeutics in combination with radiotherapy. It is a necessity that the candidate has substantial experience in working with radioisotopes and with handling relatively large radiation doses. The candidate also needs to have substantial experience in animal handling. The successful candidate should preferably have a veterinarian and/or cancer cell biology background.
The applicants should hold a PhD degree in the relevant mentioned areas. All applicants should have a strong interest in working experimentally in a cross-disciplinary environment and have very good collaboration skills. Strong communication skills are an advantage and a strong academic record is a requirement. The applicants should strive towards scientific excellence, be ambitious and hard working. Only applicants with great talent and a possibility to be among the brightest in their field will be considered.
Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
The duration of the position depends on the candidates qualifications but will be 1 to 3 years with the possibility of extension.
