Stem Cell Biology and Developmental Genetics
A 4-year postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Vivian Li at the MRC National Institute of Medical Research, London.
We are seeking an enthusiastic postdoctoral candidate with experience in mouse genetics and biochemistry. The focus of our group is stem cell and cancer research. The Wnt signalling pathway plays a dual role in the intestine: it maintains crypt stem cell compartments and, when activated by mutation, it is the cause of colon cancer. Our research focuses on both aspects of Wnt signalling in the intestine. You will be involved in investigating the molecular control mechanism that fine-tunes the expression pattern of the Wnt/Stem cell-signature genes in gut.
As a qualified candidate you will have a relevant PhD degree or be in the final stages of completion. Previous working experience with mice and primary tissue culture would be a significant advantage. You should also have a proven track record and publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals.

Salary range is from £27,513 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. MRC final salary Pension Scheme is available.
