An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available to study neuroplasticity associated with self-administration of drug and non-drug rewards using in vivo and in vitro electrophysiological techniques. The successful candidate will have published proficiency in electrophysiology and have an interest in performing experiments that integrate behavioral and electrophysiological methods in wildtype and transgenic rodents. Candidates should have strong communication skills, a record of scientific productivity, and a desire to work both independently and as part of a team to mentor other lab members.
The Neuroscience Research Center is home to over 100 neuroscientists and the Medical College of Wisconsin has numerous core facilities and other resources to promote scientific training and multidisciplinary research.
