美国密歇根大学癌症生物学博士后职位
Postdoctoral position is available to carry out interdisciplinary project to study the effect of small molecules targeting proteins involved in cancer in in vitro and in vivo models of cancers. We are seeking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with extensive experience in cancer cell biology and mouse models of cancer. The research focus will be on blocking epigenetic targets involved in cancers, including leukemia and selected solid cancers. This position requires expertise in cell biology and molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qRT-PCR, Western Blotting, co-Immunoprecipitation, ChIP, ChIPSeq, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, immunostaining. Furthermore, prior work experience with animals such as transgenic mice and xenograft models of cancer is required. Additional experience with handling primary patient samples would be highly desired. Successful candidate will be a part of an interdisciplinary team whose research is focused on different stages of pre-clinical development of anti-cancer drug candidates, and will closely interact with medicinal chemists, biochemists and biologists. Depending on the interests and skills the candidate will have an opportunity to expand expertise in other methods relevant to drug discovery.
Requirements:
Applicant must have PhD in biology or related field. This position requires extensive experience in cell and molecular biology techniques and in animal work. Prior experience in testing small molecule inhibitors in different cellular systems and in in vivo models of cancer would be highly desired. The candidates must have a track record of successful Ph.D. study and have at least 2-3 first-authored publications in internationally peer-reviewed scientific journal(s). Furthermore, excellent oral and written communication skills in English, ability to conduct independent scientific investigations, effective judgment and problem solving with little or no supervision, high motivation and commitment to academic biomedical research, expertise in Excel and Origin are required.
How to apply
Please submit cover letter, CV, and contact information for 2-3 references combined into one PDF file. The position is available immediately.
